Composite Fencing · Loughborough & Charnwood

Composite Fencing across Charnwood.

Composite is the no-jobs-on-Saturday fence: wood-plastic boards that do not rot, warp or need staining, slotted between posts with matching gravel boards. It costs more on day one and saves every year after. We fit the systems properly — expansion gaps, level lines and solid post foundations — so it looks as good in year ten as year one.

Straight answers

Things people ask about composite fencing.

Is composite fencing worth the extra cost?
If you plan to stay put, usually yes — you are buying back every staining weekend and every rotten-post repair for the next couple of decades. For a short-term house move, treated timber wins on price.
Does composite fencing fade?
Modern boards are colour-stable — expect a slight mellowing in the first few months as the surface settles, then very little change. Cheap early-generation boards earned the fading reputation; the systems we fit are not those.
Is composite fencing strong in wind?
The boards are fine — the posts do the work, exactly as with timber. We spec post depth and centres for the exposure of the run, which matters more with composite because the boards are heavier.
Can composite be repaired?
Yes — boards slot in from the top, so a damaged board slides out and a new one drops in without touching the rest of the bay.
Timber-look or flat-face boards?
Both are available; embossed wood-grain hides marks better, flat faces read more architectural. We bring samples to the survey so you choose in your own light, in your own garden.
